In these applications, where the product can come into contact with the mouth or with a potential risk of ingestion, it is not possible to use traditional fragrances: it is in fact necessary to use food-grade quality flavours.

For products such as toothpastes, mouthwashes and lip balms, it is suggested to use food-grade aromas instead of cosmetic fragrances because they often contain ingredients that are not suitable for contact with the mouth. This is because there is a risk of accidental ingestion of the product

For lip balms, balms, and lipsticks with ingestion risks, we provide food-grade aromas that combine safety and pleasantness. The choice depends on the target audience: neutral or delicately flavoured profiles for adults, yummy flavours such as strawberry, vanilla, or cherry for young lines.

Yes. DKS develops customized flavours based on the desired sensory profile, type of cosmetic base, and technical specifications required by the customer. Sample service also available upon request.

Flavours may naturally contain traces of substances classified as allergens according to EC Reg. 1223/2009. Complete technical documentation, including allergen list and IFRA declaration, is provided for each product.
